The Commash announced last night that he is adopting the same attitude that more than half the league displayed in Week 10. "I know people are expecting me to post the scores from Week Ten in a timely manner," said the Commash, "but I think I will just do it whenever I am damn good and ready." That was apparently the attitude that more than half the league had in Week
Ten as only eight golfers were ready to play at 5:00PM.
As a result, The Commash announced a new league policy aimed at encouraging league members to be there at 5 PM. The league schedule has been taken down from the web site. Further, scorecards will no longer have tee times listed on them. From now on, all golfers will find out their actual tee time when they show up at the course. Tee times will be determined first come, first served based on the arrival of the last player in the foursome. If there are no foursomes ready to go at 5PM, the team or teams with the most persons present will tee off first (with ties settled by spinning a tee). Anyone showing up late will be allowed to join the match in progress wherever it happens to be on the course. The Ghost Sub Rule will be in effect where only one member of a team is present. If both members of a team are absent, holes will either be forfeited or designated a draw (in the event a player and his opponent are both absent). "These changes may not get people to the course any faster," the Commash confessed, "but they will enable us to start on time and address this issue internally within the league in a fair and just manner."
