I hate to pick at an old scab, but a possible scoring error was just brought to my attention. First of all, it has no impact on the results, handicap or anything else. But even if it did, the result would be the same. As you may recall (whether or not you want to), this issue was raised after the final event last season. In order to maintain consistency I must resolve this the same way I did then -- once the scorecards go home with me and I enter them, the scorecards are locked and become official. To do otherwise would 1) cause me to have to go back and recalculate all (or most) of the reports; 2) be inconsistent with how things were resolved last season, and 3) create a proverbial can of worms about future scorecard mistakes.
There is only one official scorecard for each match and that is the one I print out for you. It's really very simple: check your scorecard for accuracy when you finish your round, not after I have already spent an hour doing all the reports.
