Week Fifteen Report: Feller Sniffs Record

Only one week after Jorge tied the low net record of 28, Jay Feller fired a 39/29 to come within one shot of the record and become only the fifth CGA player in league history to break net 30. Jorge's 47/28 in Week 14 tied the low net record of 28 established by Steve Geraghty in 2004. Prior to Geraghty's round, the record was 29 and was set by Dan Freiburger in the CGA's inaugural 2001 season at The Phoenix. That record was tied by Brad Underwood in 2003 (against yours truly as I recall) at The GC of D. So, there you have it. Only five players have ever broken net 30 and two of them did it this year. Congratulations Jay.

In case you missed it, the CGA announced this week that they have agreed to play a Ryder Cup event against The Short North Tavern League, which plays at Champions. Brad Underwood has been selected to be the Captain of the CGA squad. Check your email for details.

The CGA Championship is creeping up on us. The tournament is on August 25th at Black Diamond. So far, the following golfers are out: Ayers, Shaffer and Geraghty. If you know you are out, please inform the League Office as soon as possible.

I will be on vacation this Monday, August 6th. Don't worry, Undy has my back. Expect an email from Brad very soon alerting you to some "special rules" that Brad will probably implement during his one week reign of terror.
