Week 1 Much Like Going to see Dr. Tazz

When I go see Dr. Tazz to have my teeth cleaned, the first thing I do is explain to the dental hygentist that my teeth have a great deal of plaque. Kind of give her a fair warning that she has her work cut out for her and things could get real messy. I think I should have called Wes and gave him fair warning the CGA was coming.
For most of the Cronies, week one resembled a trip to see Dr. Tazz. One could feel the plaque coming off of their swing. Three or four bad shots coupled with a good swing and the plaque was starting to come off. Putting the clubs away for the winter is much like avoiding Dr. Tazz. The good news is that eventually the dental hygentist gets your teeth clean and eventually our swings will be back. However, no promises on the wind calming down. All in all, it was great to be back. Win or lose, it was great to see everyone and based on the attendance at BWWW for the most part the cronies had missed one another over the long winter.

Three of the leagues better golfers (Webb, Greg May, and Shaffer) had their lunch handed to them. Porterfield brought his clubs out for the first time and put a beat down on Webb. One anonymous Crony stated "Sometimes Ryan has a tendancy to just get to excited, and opening day seemed to do that to him." Swanson, with his Lizard hat and Ian Poulter pants easily took care of the former Commish. With all of the responsibilities lifted off of Greg I for one, sure expected Greg to play better. Over the winter, Dr. Tazz consulted with Dr. Ding Dong on a new driver. Boy did he find one he likes, as he came out firing to knock off Shaffer. A very dangerous opponent with this new weapon. Rumors are that he has already sent 14 text messages to Smokin Joe as they get ready to do battle on Monday night. Trust me, there is some real bad blood between those two. I have a bye this week and might find myself in a cart following that match.
Team wise, these individual performances were big enough to carry their teams to the front of the pack after week one. Porta Joe's defeated Webb Bull 33 to 12 and Dude, Where's my Par defeated Son of Bettes 30 1/2 to 14 1/2. Ebel and Porterfield took the Webbie Blind $10 game.

5:16 pm - I can't think of a Name vs Son of Bettes
